On 29 and 30 November 2018, Anna van Duin and Laura Burgers both presented their research at the annual conference of the Ius Commune Research School, which was organized in Amsterdam this year. Anna participated in a workshop on the evolving nature of the principle of effective judicial protection. She presented a draft chapter of her PhD thesis on ‘Article 47 EUCFR and Civil Courts’.
Laura participated in a workshop on public authorities and tort law. Her presentation was entitled ‘Tort Law Beyond Borders: Climate change as a governmental tort’.
Keynote speaker at the conference was Michal Bobek, Advocate-General at the EU Court of Justice. He talked about ‘New Technologies, Knowledge and the Law: the Dilemma of Regulation’. Click here for the full programme.
